Today, it's not about Disney-themed clothes or accessories. This time, the article deals with an unsual photoshoot. What makes it so uncommon? The answer's simple: it took place at the Disneyland Resort in California. It was one the first (if not the first) fashion photoshoots to have ever been held in a theme park.
This shoot was carried out for the April 9th, 1961 issue of Midwest Magazine, an insert in the Chicago Sun-Times.
Bold and bright colors, stunning woollen coats, sophisticated suits... it all reminds of Jackie Kennedy's style.
What struck people at that time was the originality of the location! Considering how smart and refined the garments showcased looked, Disneyland seemed slightly childish and edgy. And yet, that was only the very beginning of Disney's collaborations with the fashion realm...
